WCEP provides students with a comprehensive cultural orientation program that aligns with the philosophy and tradition of KÜDEP, which has been implemented in 46 countries for 70 years. The content of the training offered throughout this program is designed with attention to KÜDEP's "intercultural learning" dimension. To achieve this, various intercultural learning models are considered in order to create the most effective learning environment for our students. Students are equipped with the necessary support to help them adapt more easily to the culture of the host country.
The core mission of KÜDEP is to enable students from diverse cultural backgrounds to gain a deeper understanding of one another, to develop broader perspectives, and to grow into globally minded citizens. The program aims to foster cultural awareness, eliminate cultural prejudices, and contribute to the creation of a more peaceful world..
WCEP embodies and actively implements these principles by offering students the opportunity to study in a foreign country, where they can learn the host nation's language, cultural norms, and social structures first-hand. Simultaneously, students introduce their own culture to their host communities, initiating a meaningful process of mutual cultural exchange. This reciprocal interaction plays a vital role in shaping young individuals into global citizens, equipped with the knowledge, empathy, and intercultural competence needed in today’s interconnected world.
