Dear Parents and
Beloved Students,
The Worldwide Cultural Exchange Program (WCEP), headquartered in Toronto, is an organization that coordinates student exchange programs on behalf of the Ministries of Education of 16 leading countries known for their high-quality education systems, with Canada at the forefront. WCEP brings together diverse cultures within the warmth of family settings, creating lifelong friendships while placing academic excellence and social development at its very core.
As WCEP Turkey Office, we operate in full coordination with the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey, strictly adhering to all laws and regulations. Our mission is twofold: to contribute directly to the promotion of our country abroad, and to raise global citizens who speak two foreign languages fluently and possess strong academic and social skills.
We implement collaborative projects with public and private high schools, provincial and district education directorates, and the Ministry of National Education, pioneering many firsts in this field. Students participating in our programs are fully protected under Article 28 of the Secondary Education Institutions Regulation dated September 7, 2013, which guarantees their academic rights during their exchange year.
Upon their return to Turkey, students can easily obtain equivalency certificates for their international report cards through the Provincial Directorate of National Education, allowing them to continue their education seamlessly without any loss of time.
Academic achievement remains a primary criterion for admissions officers at international universities. However, these officers also value uniqueness and diverse experiences. Therefore, spending one or more years in an International High School Exchange Program significantly enhances a student’s application, making university acceptance much more accessible.
We take great pride in witnessing our students, empowered by the invaluable experiences gained through this program, begin their higher education journeys without facing cultural adaptation challenges. These positive experiences are reflected in both their academic and social lives.
At WCEP Turkey, our fundamental aim is to support the development of students into individuals who possess intercultural competencies, represent their country with honor abroad, and stand confidently on their own two feet.
With kind regards,
VOLKAN CERRAHOĞLU
