First International Diploma Exam

wcep blog detail

The “Foreign Language Proficiency Exam,” to be held within the scope of the International Diploma and Certificate Program (UDSP), is being organized for the first time today. Students in 8th grade, preparatory class, 9th grade, and 10th grade who wish to study at schools where international diploma programs are implemented are taking the exam. The exam will begin at 10:00 and will consist of 50 questions, with students given 110 minutes to complete it. Students who score 70 or above out of 100 will be considered successful, and the exam score will be valid for 2 years.

The Aim Is Language Proficiency

Volkan Cerrahoğlu, President of the Association of Schools Implementing International Programs, said, “After the results are announced, students will complete the admission processes for the international programs at the schools where they will study. However, the aim should not be merely to enter the program. The main goal should be for students to reach a level where they can use English or German well enough to successfully continue the program. Because in international programs, students do not only solve tests; they conduct research, write reports, give presentations, and carry out academic studies.”
