Why was the Wisconsin Center for Economic Prosperity (WCEP) formed?
There is a need in Wisconsin for an organization patterned after the national Club for Growth that financially supports candidates at the state and local level that believes in conservative fiscal policy regardless of party affiliation.
Does WCEP endorse candidates?
Yes.
Does WCEP only financially support Republican candidates?
No. A candidate for office that believes in fiscally conservative principals will be supported.
Who decides what candidates to support?
Our supporters through their donations to WCEP.
Can I contribute to U.S. House of Representative and U.S. Senate Candidates?
Not by participating with WCEP. We are only registered as a Wisconsin Political Action Committee supporting candidates running for office on the state and local level.
What is the maximum amount I can contribute?
An individual may not contribute more than $10,000.00 in a calendar year to any combination of Wisconsin candidates or political committees.
Can my company make a donation?
No. Certain contributions are prohibited by Wisconsin law including contributions from cooperatives or corporations.
